October Newsletter

Just as September sneaked up on us, I can’t believe that it’s October. The weather doesn’t quite feel like it at the moment.  The humidity is back for a few days.  I myself am looking forward to comfortable days and cool nights.

Pat and Arlan Christ from Kutztown, PA are back for our October meeting.  They will be sharing quilts from1920 through 1950.

The food larder is starting to collect items appropriate for Thanksgiving, specifically mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and stuffing mix.  Our fat quarter “color” is any holiday prints or patterns. And don’t forget your show’n tell.

And one last reminder, Challenge Quilts.  I hope everyone is working on them.  They are due on our November meeting.

Enjoy the newsletter and the October poem that Mary Beth shared with us.
